Another Gibraltar sighting

Well after a massive drought they are coming thick and fast. Just spotted a lovely set of lace top welts.
Lady was sorting something out with her car and as she walked passed me spotted the welts through the split at the back of her skirt - no suspender bumps so definate hold ups.
Stockings were black and the skirt was black and very tight! - very very nice!
Sue Lawley - Saturday Matters

Not sure how many of you remember this programme, but back in the early 1990’s following a successful stint of standing in for Terry Wogan on his evening chat show, Sue Lawley started her own chat show called Saturday Matters.
Now I had always wondered if Sue was a stockings wearer - she always used to wear fairly short skirts with black hosiery and has awesome legs! anyway she started Saturday Matters and the opening sequence showed ‘Sue’ getting ready for the show with her then walking out of the door at the end of the opening credits - with her legs encased in a pair of point heel fully fashioned stockings!
I have been looking for a clip of this for years and have now finally have found it on Youtube - funnily enough! - the actual clip is of an interview which is not at all relevant to this post - the most important thing for me is the opening credits and those awesome legs.
Now at a later interview Sue was asked if these were her legs - which she said they were not - but still a great start to a programme and in my mind they will always be Sue’s legs!
The quality is not great I am afraid - so if anyone else has this on video then I would love a copy
Alison Keenan - stocking tops flash

Alison Keenan is one hot lady - here is a great video of her flashing her stocking tops whilst on screen with QVC. She has not been flashing much recently so it has been a bit of a dissapointment but still this should keep you going for a while!
I will keep posting these, as I said she is one hot lady with awesome legs - rumour has it she was wearing seams a while back but I have yet to find the video!

How many stockings sightings do you reckon you have had over time? I reckon personally I have so far had about 300 - I know I am incredibly sad for remembering - but I have been fascinated my stockings - particularly the seamed variety ever since I can remember, in fact for me they are the epitomy of fashion and elegance.
I cannot really put a finger on the first time I saw a pair of seamed stockings, but I was pretty young I think and just the view of the seam travelling up the leg and disappearing under the bottom of the skirt was just awesome, from that time I onwards I was hooked, growing up in the early eighties certainly helped as a lot of ladies were wearing them again and I had many many sightings at this time.
One of the best memories I have was of a girl I dated back in I think 1988 - we went to a disco, and when she turned up she looked awesome in black stockings (she always wore stockings) as we left her house she turned around and there were the seams - awesome!
When I first started work in Liverpool in 1991, I was working for a smallish company at the time, pretty much as an office junior - the job was awful and badly paid, but I spent a huge amount of time out of the office going around to other firms picking stuff up and delivering things - at the time seams had come back into fashion again and I had a huge amount of sightings during the year I worked there - even seeing some genuine fully fashioned stockings at times - but they are stories for another time.
There were a number of ladies who worked for the firm and initially I was unsure whether any were stockings wearers - one of them in particular used to wear shortish skirts with black hosiery (I genuinely thought they were tights due to the length of her skirt) anyway one day I had to go to the bank with her (she was the accountant) and as we headed out of the office I caught the glorious sight of the tops of her stockings through the split in her skirt - they were the style of stockings with the plain two tone welt - very much like RHT stockings. After that I pretty much spotted her wearing stockings daily until I left - most usually in black - there were many times I noticed her suspender bumps through her skirt at the front as the skirt was slightly too tight.
But my best recollection was when we had to go for a meeting in her car. As she got into the car her skirt rode right the way up and the tops of her stockings were on show - for the entire journey - which was over an hour! both ways. Now for a young 18 yr old this was unbeliveable - I cannot believe even to this day that she did not know she was showing her tops and I could not take my eyes off them - of course I was too nervous and shy to say anything to her but that is something I may well regret until the day I die!
Anyway, I plan to start writing about my recollections over the next few months and hopefully tell you about all the sightings I can remember - what they were, where they happened etc - hopefully you will all be interested.

Ashes to Ashes | Keeley Hawes in Lace top stockings

The very very very sexy Keeley Hawes stars in the new BBC series Ashes to Ahses which is the follow on from a series called Life on Mars. She is trasnported back to 1981 from the modern day and in this clip can be seen wearing some incredibly sexy lace top stockings!
I love these series as they take us back to a time when ladies wore stockings much more regularly than they do these days and this will be very evident in this series - although I am not convinced lace top stockings were that much in evidence at that time!
Anyway enjoy this clip from the beginning of the series when she first gets transported back - some lovely stocking top shots!

New site design and a complete overhaul

Hi all, well I hope you have noticed some changes since you last swung on by the site. We are now on a nice new template - which still needs some work and a new logo is currently being designed. I think I was probably a little unsure about what the site was going to be when I first started it - very much just to review films that I knew had some form of sighting in and then at the sametime I started up some other sites on sub domains such as the Sharon Marshall Appreciation Society and a Dita Von Teese site which literally just sat there with no updates for over a year.
So I have decided to bring all of these under one roof, along with some new stuff such as a regular update on the stockings and seams sightings I have had over the years, a new section dedicated to celebrity stockings and nylons sightings and also some actual product reviews for hosiery.
I have a big passion for this site and I really want to make a lot of it - and for it to become a big resource for people with a similar interest to myself, the forum is also going to undergo an overhaul and an update to ensure this also becomes a useful resource for everyone.
If nothing else can I ask that you join our mailing list - It is run through feedburner and basically whenever the site updates with new content you will be advised, or just bookmark our RSS feed to your reader so you know what is happening over here at Movienylons.
Anyway just wanted to keep you posted on what was happening and I hope you like the new design. Going forward the Sharon Marshall and Dita Von teese sites will be taken down and will redirect to this site - any content on there will be transferred over to this site.
Gibraltar Seams

I have recently moved to the South of Spain due to work and actually work on the rock.
I kind of figured the place would be a bit of a nylon desert - which it certainly was of course when it was very warm. However during winter (as with Spain) a lot of the ladies can be seen sporting nylons. I never for one moment thought however that I would ever see any seams on the rock itself.
Well imagine my surprise whilst walking down main street last Thursday and a lady (mid - late forties) came walking out of one of the buildings sporting none other than a pair of seams, well clearly I sped up a bit and as I got a bit closer notcied that her skirt was pretty tight and there was a lovely outline of her suspenders!
Seamed stockings were black and she was in some sort of uniform - although not military.
Anyway she was heading my way so I got to see them for a while before she headed off down the steps towards Europort.
So my faith has been restored once more and I am looking forward to seeing more!

Well trawling through the web the other day and what do I find - are my eyes deceiving me…. Amanda ‘Hold Ups’ Holden wearing seams! - clearly we don’t know if these are stockings, tights or hold ups but by very virtue of the nickname she has then I would hazrd a guess that they were not tights!

Yes very soon - as you can obviously see we love stockings and everything about them - they make a woman look incredibly sexy and elegant - especially stockings of the seamed variety.
So watch out we have some in the wings and will be putting the best nylons on the market through their paces!

This series is currently being repeated all over SKY TV in the UK right now, anyway there is an episode of it where the starting sequence shows one of the characters in the shower, a taxi draws up and a lady gets out - as she walks up the path you get an awesome shot of her seamed stockings!
Anyway I am looking for it online and as soon as I have found it I will post more…
