New site design and a complete overhaul

Hi all, well I hope you have noticed some changes since you last swung on by the site. We are now on a nice new template - which still needs some work and a new logo is currently being designed. I think I was probably a little unsure about what the site was going to be when I first started it - very much just to review films that I knew had some form of sighting in and then at the sametime I started up some other sites on sub domains such as the Sharon Marshall Appreciation Society and a Dita Von Teese site which literally just sat there with no updates for over a year.
So I have decided to bring all of these under one roof, along with some new stuff such as a regular update on the stockings and seams sightings I have had over the years, a new section dedicated to celebrity stockings and nylons sightings and also some actual product reviews for hosiery.
I have a big passion for this site and I really want to make a lot of it - and for it to become a big resource for people with a similar interest to myself, the forum is also going to undergo an overhaul and an update to ensure this also becomes a useful resource for everyone.
If nothing else can I ask that you join our mailing list - It is run through feedburner and basically whenever the site updates with new content you will be advised, or just bookmark our RSS feed to your reader so you know what is happening over here at Movienylons.
Anyway just wanted to keep you posted on what was happening and I hope you like the new design. Going forward the Sharon Marshall and Dita Von teese sites will be taken down and will redirect to this site - any content on there will be transferred over to this site.
Updates - Been Very Slow

Hi all, I just wanted to give you an update on whats been happening here at movienylons and let you know what is planned for the future.
As I am sure you can see updates to the site have been very few and far between over the last couple of years - and for that I apologise - I started out with really good intentions however events in the rest of my life conspired against me being able to regularly update things.
This year has not been much better - having got married, moved home, moved country, moved job - after being made redundant from my last one!! - so it has been kind of a busy year.
Anyway I am back and I have some interesting plans for the site which I would like to share with you now.
The aim of the site when I first started was to basically be a online resource for all the programmes / films / movies etc where one of the actresses (can I say that in the PC world we live in???) wears nylons and we as the viewer get a lucky glimpse - in whatever form that may take.
I have a huge list of these films and it was my intention to slowly over time post all of these onto the site - giving a brief overview and review of the film - and where possible giving you the opportunity to make a purchase.
This is still my intention - however I am planning to make it a lot more intuitive - better categories on the site, more information and also giving you the opportunity to review the film yourselves - with a ratings system - one of the great things about wordpress is it has loads of plug ins and I have found a great one to do just that.
I am also going to overhaul the forum we have on the site - for which we have a lot of members just very few posts - and make that much more of a community within the site.
Combined with this I aim to bring in a lot more content from youtube, google videos and so on and so forth - I have to be careful with copyrighted material - but certainly if you have a youtube video you would like to promote then send it over to me - or even join the site and post yourself - I would love to get some regular posters here.
I also wish to build an email database as well - not to spam people with but purely to let people know about site updates and new films that we have reviewed.
So thats movienylons - some of you may also be aware that we have a stockings sightings site, a Sharon Marshall fan site and also a Dita Von Tesse fan site - Sharon and Dita are possibly my two favourite stockings wearers on TV and in the media - The sites I have built for them have also suffered from a lack of updating and that will be changing as well.
All of the sites will be based on the same general theme and will have seperate newsletters etc - but will be linked within the same forum - if anyone has photos and content which they would like me to upload to either of these sites then please send it to me - andy [at] movienylons.com.
Once again thank you for visiting the site and sticking with me - things are about to change and really look a lot better - I promise!

I have recently started a squidoo lense - entitled fully fashioned stockings
Squidoo is awesome in terms of what it allows you to do and I see this very much as a compliment to movie nylons going forward - you can also catch the movie nylons updates right there in the squidoo lense.

A New Homepage - A New Start

Ok it has been a long time coming but finally I am updating the site, adding the content and really making something of it - the forum now has over 300 members - and we need more - and we need people to start bringing in the ideas and really going for it - lets make this an awesome resource with loads going on and loads of ideas
