Seams alive and well in Barcelona

I was in Barcelona this weekend to see the mighty Barca play. Anyway was having a wander around the City on Saturday afternoon and was heading down towards Las Ramblas - as I walked upto a crossing at the top of Las Ramblas there was a young lady in front of me with her partner - it appeared they were dressed up to go out for dinner as he was in dinner suit etc!
Anyway I had noticed she had black hosiery on and as I walked up behind there were a fabulous pair of micromesh seams on show. I got to have a good look at them for a minute or so whilst waiting for the lights to change and then they headed off in the opposite direction to me - mores the pity.
I have to say I really did not expect to see seams in Barcelona as so far my experience in Spain has been the ladies like opaque patterned hosiery or plain.
Anyway it was a lovely treat and one I will remember for a while!
Four seams sightings in three days!

I have just been away on business back in the UK and had four sightings of ladies wearing seams in three days! The first three were in Leeds with two in the same day - one pair of sheer black seams with no heel detail and one pair of seamed fishnets worn with a lovely pair of boots.
Then on Thursday I spotted an awesome pair of contrast seams - she was only in her early twenties as well and the seams were perfect with what appeared to be writing as the seam down near the heel.
Then yesterday at the airport when I was flying back - another pair of seamed fishnets - but they looked like a very fine fishnet and I have to say looked amazing - with boots and she looked Eastern European.
So it would be fair to say seams are still alive and well - I think they were all tights but what the hell - the seam is the important thing!

Well after a massive drought they are coming thick and fast. Just spotted a lovely set of lace top welts.
Lady was sorting something out with her car and as she walked passed me spotted the welts through the split at the back of her skirt - no suspender bumps so definate hold ups.
Stockings were black and the skirt was black and very tight! - very very nice!

How many stockings sightings do you reckon you have had over time? I reckon personally I have so far had about 300 - I know I am incredibly sad for remembering - but I have been fascinated my stockings - particularly the seamed variety ever since I can remember, in fact for me they are the epitomy of fashion and elegance.
I cannot really put a finger on the first time I saw a pair of seamed stockings, but I was pretty young I think and just the view of the seam travelling up the leg and disappearing under the bottom of the skirt was just awesome, from that time I onwards I was hooked, growing up in the early eighties certainly helped as a lot of ladies were wearing them again and I had many many sightings at this time.
One of the best memories I have was of a girl I dated back in I think 1988 - we went to a disco, and when she turned up she looked awesome in black stockings (she always wore stockings) as we left her house she turned around and there were the seams - awesome!
When I first started work in Liverpool in 1991, I was working for a smallish company at the time, pretty much as an office junior - the job was awful and badly paid, but I spent a huge amount of time out of the office going around to other firms picking stuff up and delivering things - at the time seams had come back into fashion again and I had a huge amount of sightings during the year I worked there - even seeing some genuine fully fashioned stockings at times - but they are stories for another time.
There were a number of ladies who worked for the firm and initially I was unsure whether any were stockings wearers - one of them in particular used to wear shortish skirts with black hosiery (I genuinely thought they were tights due to the length of her skirt) anyway one day I had to go to the bank with her (she was the accountant) and as we headed out of the office I caught the glorious sight of the tops of her stockings through the split in her skirt - they were the style of stockings with the plain two tone welt - very much like RHT stockings. After that I pretty much spotted her wearing stockings daily until I left - most usually in black - there were many times I noticed her suspender bumps through her skirt at the front as the skirt was slightly too tight.
But my best recollection was when we had to go for a meeting in her car. As she got into the car her skirt rode right the way up and the tops of her stockings were on show - for the entire journey - which was over an hour! both ways. Now for a young 18 yr old this was unbeliveable - I cannot believe even to this day that she did not know she was showing her tops and I could not take my eyes off them - of course I was too nervous and shy to say anything to her but that is something I may well regret until the day I die!
Anyway, I plan to start writing about my recollections over the next few months and hopefully tell you about all the sightings I can remember - what they were, where they happened etc - hopefully you will all be interested.

Gibraltar Seams

I have recently moved to the South of Spain due to work and actually work on the rock.
I kind of figured the place would be a bit of a nylon desert - which it certainly was of course when it was very warm. However during winter (as with Spain) a lot of the ladies can be seen sporting nylons. I never for one moment thought however that I would ever see any seams on the rock itself.
Well imagine my surprise whilst walking down main street last Thursday and a lady (mid - late forties) came walking out of one of the buildings sporting none other than a pair of seams, well clearly I sped up a bit and as I got a bit closer notcied that her skirt was pretty tight and there was a lovely outline of her suspenders!
Seamed stockings were black and she was in some sort of uniform - although not military.
Anyway she was heading my way so I got to see them for a while before she headed off down the steps towards Europort.
So my faith has been restored once more and I am looking forward to seeing more!
